Veterinarian(s)
Mary Ann Hittle Dr. Mary Ann Hittle received her Bachelor of Science degree in Bacteriology from UW-Madison in 1975. She graduated from the University Of Minnesota School Of Veterinary Medicine in 1979, and began her veterinary career at Appanasha Pet Clinics the same year. Although Dr Hittle has been associated with Appanasha Pet Clinics since 1979, her love of pets and her interest in veterinary medicine started much earlier. She competed in obedience trials with her first Sheltie while in grade school, and worked at veterinary clinics during her high school and college years.
Dr. Hittle shares her life with her husband, Jim Wagner. He has a background in dog training and competition, and also lives a pet-oriented life. Their family has included several Shelties and Belgian Tervuren, plus numerous cats. Presently, they live with a Sheltie, a Border Collie and four cats. In her free time, Dr. Hittle enjoys gardening and long walks (accompanied by dogs). She values her long association with pet owners and their generations of pets, and looks forward to meeting new pet families.

Marty Heindel | Dr. Marty Heindel received his Bachelor of Science degree from UW-Stevens Point and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from UW-Madison. Dr. Heindel's special interest is orthopedics. He has been at APC since his graduation in 1988. Dr. Heindel is an avid musky fisherman and loves to spend time "up north" with his wife, Kelli Heindel, M.D., and son Gabe. Dr. Heindel is pictured here with his Italian Spinone, "Cliff". |  View |
Murray Hurlburt
Dr. Murray Hurlburt is a 1999 graduate of UW-Madison, School of Veterinary Medicine. He has been practicing small animal medicine in the Fox Valley for 8 years. Previously, Dr. Hurlburt was a paramedic with Gold Cross Ambulance for 12 years.
He makes his home in Neenah, and is married to Jeanne, RN. They have one son, Aidan. Dr. Hurlburt enjoys spending time with his family, walking, bike riding and traveling. He and his wife rescued a mixed breed dog named Gracie. Dr Hurlburt "discovered" Veterinary Medicine through the James Herriot books at age 10, and still enjoys his books to this day. He enjoys working as part of the Appanasha team, and strives to provide patients and clients with the best possible care. |  View |
Trisha Ewing Dr. Trisha Ewing grew up in the Fox Valley. She attended UW-Oshkosh, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then earned her DVM from UW-Madison. Dr. Ewing is married and has two daughters. She and her family share their home with two Collies, Sam and Nora, who were rescued as puppies. Dr. Ewing's hobbies include playing volleyball, going for long walks, and spending time with her family.

Renee Palmer Dr. Renee Palmer received her Bachelor's degree from Cornell University. She received her master's degree and DVM from Auburn University. She is married to Dr. Jim Palmer, an equine veterinarian. They have two children, Jamie and Jenna. The family enjoys spending their time at their cabin in the U.P. and also going to horse shows and dog trials.
Leslie Quandt-Walle | We are proud to have Dr. Leslie Quandt-Walle as part of our team. Dr. Leslie Quandt-Walle earned her D.V.M. at UW-Madison in 2000, where she took a special interest in exotics. She lives in Appleton with her husband and their twin daughters. The family's household is also made up of 3 dogs, 4 snakes, 2 bearded dragons, 1 rabbit, and fish. Dr. Quandt-Walle enjoys traveling and spends her free time reading, running, and spending time with her family. |  View |

Julie Hilker | Julie has been with Appanasha since 1994. She began work here as a veterinary technician. She found her niche in striving to make Appanasha the best veterinary experience for pets and their owners. Julie became the hospital manager in 1998 and was elected to the Wisconsin Veterinary Practice Managers State Board in 2005 as Membership Chairperson and then as President in 2007. Julie lives in Menasha and spends her spare time with her husband, Craig and two children, Taylor and Lane. She also shares her life with three pets. "RiverSteve" and "Gunner" are two very silly, energetic Labs. One cannot forget the master of the house, "Fonzie", a.k.a the spoiled cat. |  View |

Jennifer Wagner
| Jennifer has been working at Appanasha since 1996. She received her Bachelors of Science/Biology from River Falls in 1995. She also received her Veterinary Technician license in June 2009. Jennifer lives with her husband Scott and two girls: Carly and Emily. They also have 6 cats and 1 Bernese Mountain dog, Storm. Jennifer likes to do crafts, reading, spending time with her family and camping. |

| Karin has been working at Appanasha since 1998. Karin is also our Technician Manager. She received her Bachelors of Science/Biology from River Falls in 1997. Karin lives with her husband Eric, their son Brendan an 2 cats (Ash and Freeway). Karin likes doing crafts and spending time with her family. |

Nancy Dorow
| Nancy has been working at Appanasha since 2001. She graduated from Horizon school of Veterinary Assisting and she was the very first graduate! She received her Veterinary Technician License in June 2009. Nancy lives with her husband Michael and her 4 goldens (Buster, Bugsy, Ripley and Bear). Nancy likes to read, paint, run, and go camping. |

Sarah Brunette
| Sarah has been working at Appanasha since 2005. She graduated from Horizon school of Veterinary Assisting in 2006 and obtained her Veterinary Technician License in January of 2010. She has one dog named Dexter who is a Collie/Golden Retriever mix. Sarah is an avid sports fan who enjoys traveling, being outdoors, fine dining, design, shopping and spending time with her family and friends. |

Deanna Bench
| Deanna has been with Appanasha since 2006. Deanna recieved her associates Degree in Arts and Sciences from UW Oshkosh. She graduated from Horizon School of Veterinary Assisting in 2006 and received her Veterinary Technician License in January 2009. Deanna has 3 dogs (Griffon a Bull Terrier mix, Taura a Shar Pei and Business a Great Dane), 4 cats, 2 birds, 1 guinea pig,1 turtle,1 snake and 6 fish tanks. Deanna enjoys reading, camping and photography. |

Kara Howard

Kara has been working in the veterinary field for 15 years. She began as a receptionist and then became a technician. Kara has worked at the referral center and general practices. She likes to study canine behavior. Kara owns 3 dogs: Patch, an American Staffordshire Terrier/Pointer, Hope, a Pit Bull/Hound, and Stitch, a Chihuahua. She also has 1 cat, PJ, a DSH. All of her pets are rescue animals. Kara's hobbies include: reading, playing pool, camping, hunting, hiking, enjoying the outdoors, dancing, documentaries, and Seinfeld. |

Tabitha Patenaude | Tabitha has been working at Appanasha since December 2009. She has her Bachelor's degree in Science/Animal Sciences and also her Associates Degree. Reception Staff
Teresa Weyenberg I have been working at Appanasha since August 21st, 2000. I currently have 4 cats and 4 dogs. I only work at Appanasha one Saturday a month as I work full time in the Appleton Area School district as a special education teacher. I also teach dance 1 night a week too. In my spare time I enjoy taking my dogs for walks or going to the dog park. All my pets keep me busy, but let's face it, life is so much more fun with pets in our lives!

Jessica Missling Jessica has been with Appanasha since 2007. She went to school for Administrative Assistance at the Fox Valley Technical College. She lives with 2 cats, Olive and Pickles. Jessica loves spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys painting, design and good food.

Paula Winarski Paula has been employed with Appanasha Pet Clinic since 1996. Previously she had worked at the Appleton clinic for 13 years. Her passions are her pets, Zuni (a Bullmastiff) and her 3 cats: Finn, Frasier, and Potter; gardening, refinishing furniture, and traveling.

Monica Heling | Monica has been with Appanasha since August of 2009, she is our Kennel Manager. She graduated from Horizon School of Veterinary Assisting in May of 2009. Leah Oppelt Leah is a freshman and UW Oshkosh. She would like to go into Equine Science or something in the Veterinary field. She enjoys horseback riding and showing. Leah has a 7 year old paint mare who is currently pregnant! She also likes to go on road trips and travel when she can. Leah's favorite place is Colorado where she went for a horse show, she would like to live there someday.
Emily Thorson
| Emily has been with Appanasha for about a year and a half. She is currently going to UW Milwaukee where she plans to major in Biology. Emily has 4 cats and 1 dog. |

Jordan Timm Jordan started working at Appanasha this year. She is a junior at Appleton East. She would like to pursue a career as a Veterinarian. She owns a Golden Retriever named Oliver and two cats: Jinxy and Snowball.
